HR Operations Manager – APAC

About the role

We are searching for an HR Operation Manager in the APAC HR team based in Tokyo. The role focuses on APAC HR operations including payroll, HR database upgrades, and compensation and benefits, working closely with the global HR team and business leaders in Japan, Australia, China and South Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Administer monthly payroll data, timesheet/leave tracking systems and sales commission data.
• Collaborate with the global HR team to upgrade the HR database.
• Plan and strategize simplification of HR processes to execute APAC HR operations smoothly.
• Work with the APAC HR director to design and roll out competitive salary structures and benefits.
• Provide user‑friendly HR processes and services for the APAC team.
• Partner with APAC business leaders to review and update work rules in compliance with local labour laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred (not mandatory).
• Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and written proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage information with integrity.
• Capability to establish rapport and credibility at all company levels.
• Organized, logical, detail‑oriented while understanding the big picture of business growth.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in HR system enhancement or HR process reviews is preferred.
• A passion for music.
