Restaurant Service Assistant Manager (Seasonal)

About the role

We are seeking talented individuals to join the HHG team as Restaurant Assistant Managers at venues near the Happo One resort in Hakuba. You will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and help create memorable dining experiences during the winter season.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food and beverage service, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of presentation and quality.
• Train and supervise staff, address customer inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain beverage and coffee programs, including training on cocktail recipes and brewing methods.
• Assist with inventory tracking for front‑of‑house supplies, including alcohol and coffee.
• Support venue managers with scheduling, task delegation, and staff assignments.
• Handle cash transactions, maintain registers, and implement cost‑control strategies.
• Ensure a clean, hygienic environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a restaurant assistant manager or supervisor.
• Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically a Working Holiday Visa).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and meet the physical demands of the role.
• Strong work ethic and a team‑first mentality.
• Fluency in English; Japanese is a bonus.
• Valid driving licence and International Driving Permit.
